Dig Nation was born from my determination as a mother to create the opportunities I struggled to find for my own daughter.
As a volleyball parent on the south side of Atlanta, I experienced firsthand the challenges of accessing high-quality, consistent training without spending countless hours traveling across the city. While my daughter was passionate about the game and committed to improving, I quickly realized there was a gap in the local volleyball landscape-one that left many talented athletes without the resources, development opportunities, and support they needed to reach their full potential.
Rather than accept what was available, I set out to build what was missing.
Dig Nation was created to provide athletes throughout the south metro Atlanta area with access to high-level volleyball training, experienced coaches, strength and conditioning resources, recruiting education, and a development-focused environment where every athlete can grow with confidence.
My vision extends beyond volleyball skills alone. Dig Nation is committed to helping young athletes develop discipline, resilience, leadership, and a genuine love for the game. Whether a player is striving to make a school team, become a club standout, earn a college scholarship, or simply become the best version of themselves, our goal is to provide the tools, guidance, and opportunities necessary for success.
As a parent, I understand the sacrifices families make to support their athletes. As the founder of Dig Nation, I am committed to building the type of program I wished existed when my daughter's volleyball journey began-a place where athletes are challenged, supported, developed, and inspired to dream bigger.
Benjamin Attles is a versatile and experienced volleyball coach specializing in competitive volleyball coaching, bringing over 11 years of playing experience and 6 years of coaching and athlete development experience to Dig Nation. Having played multiple positions—including setter, outside hitter, right side, and middle—he offers a complete, high-level understanding of the game from all perspectives on the court.
Benjamin’s playing career includes club experience with Smash 17s Force and Beantown 18s 1, where he competed at a high level and developed strong technical skills, adaptability, and game awareness. He went on to play at Morehouse College and Benedict College after beginning his career at Cambridge Rindge and Latin School.
He also trained at elite summer camps hosted by the University of Central Florida, Long Beach State University, and Springfield College, gaining exposure to high-level systems and advanced training methods that shaped his approach to the game.
As a coach, Benjamin has worked with top clubs including Georgia Elite, Fury, and Atlanta Extreme, helping athletes build strong fundamentals, positional versatility, and confidence under pressure. His coaching style emphasizes repetition, discipline, and accountability, with a strong belief that mistakes are essential for growth. He is dedicated to youth volleyball training, ensuring that young athletes develop the skills needed to excel.
After having his senior season cut short due to COVID-19, Benjamin developed an even deeper drive and passion for the sport. That experience fuels his commitment to giving athletes every opportunity to grow, compete, and fully experience the game.
Benjamin is known for bringing high energy, intensity, and purpose to every practice while building athletes who are not only skilled but also mentally tough, coachable, and prepared to succeed both on and off the court.
